City Guide To Cabo San Lucas

It is absolutely not true that Sammy Haggar is the official founder of Cabo San Lucas. However, it is true that when Sammy first became aware of the tiny fishing town at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, there was not a single jetsetter to be found in the little municipality of Mexico. Today, Cabo is among the hottest of haute-spot destinations of the JustLux jetset.

And forever young, old school rock and roller Sammy Haggars Cabo Wabo Cantina is where this little communitys trip uptown all began. With one small investment by Sammy, a new haven for luxury loving world travelers surfaced.

Cabo San Lucas, often just called Cabo, is a smolderingly desirable vacation destination for extreme adventure seekers of both daytime and nighttime fun. Cabo is one of the most mentioned hotspots by characters on the hit TV show The O.C. What more needs be said?

Days

Pinpointing the timeframe for the advent of nightlife is much simpler than selecting the finest beach of Cabo San Lucas for daytime adventures. There are eight picturesque, sandy white beaches that are perfect for sightseeing and many water-related activities. For romantics, the Twin Dolphin Beach is perfect for couples seeking an intimate secluded hideaway. Even when more crowded than usual, the beachs rock formations and coves offer surprisingly sufficient privacy to guests. Although topless and nude sun bathing are prohibited in Mexico, such behavior occurs frequently around Cabo. It occurs frequently at the Twin Dolphin and Playa San Pedro beaches.

Nights

The mighty Cabo Wabo Cantina is a music venue, a restaurant, and a nightclub. Haggars former band, Van Halen, was the first act to perform on stage. Other VH members were originally co owners of the Wabo with Sammy. The cantinas pioneering efforts have transformed Cabo San Lucas in to a 21st century Mecca of decadence of worldly proportions. The club has been featured on E Channel, Travel Channel, VH1, and MTV. New bands and acts appear weekly. As the Wabos slogan goes, Go there once, you will be there twice!

The Zoo Bar & Dance has appeal for all party animals regardless of specie. Hunters on the prowl for award winning game will find the surroundings quite invigorating. The decorum is definitely African with tiger spotted seat covers and wild animals throughout the joint. The clubs music runs the gamut from pop to dance, but all music played is danceable. Management baits big end-game hunters to show up Thursday evenings for Ladies Night. The cover charge for gentlemen is $25.

Days

Westin Beach, which is part of Playa Buenos Aires, is located near the Jack Nicklaus designed Eldorado Golf Club and the Cond Nast Traveler recommended Westin Regina Resort. The Eldorado golf course features six oceanfront holes. With the rise of new resorts and influx of vacationers coming to Cabo, Westin Beach is now a good setting for family outings. However, do keep in mind that there are swift sea currents and powerful waves. The beach is ideal for lounging but not recommended for swimming.

Nights

Directly across from the Hard Rock Cafe is El Squid Roe. While it is called both a nightclub and a restaurant, the notoriety of Squid Roe stems from its rep as a raucous house of partying. Directions are not necessary. Just follow your ears! Waiters come equipped with strapped on spray tanks of tequila. Pretty much anything goes. There is no official dress code.

The Hard Rock Cafe is a club of two tales. Families and children are welcomed during the day. However, after 10:30 p.m., the minors are out and the adult swim begins. Hurricane, Earthquake, Howling Wolf, and Lovely Rita are just a few of the drinks served from the bar. Located in the Plaza Bonita Mall, the HRC has been a pillar of the community since opening its fabled doors in 1995.

Cabo is an area that definitely will be revisited, as there are too many pleasurable sources for entertainment and recreation to cover in just one article.

is egypt a friendly country?
i am currently in egypt for 1 month. as long as i can recall, the country is quite friendly for those who can talk arabic and moslems. but what in my concern is what would have happen if any foreigners, not knowing arabic language, and not moslems will experience? what i experience is, most egyptians that i met (i am not generalizing) from taxi, hotel, cleaning service, shop keeper, bus driver, travel guide, even some neighbor egyptians trying to be friends, are all trying to take advantage from me. but thanks for my poor arabic language, i often ended up getting more friendly approach than before they know im talking arabic. the argues usually end when they say ma'laisy. do you tink it is friendly welcome, or its just my bad luck meeting some bad guys in every aspect of my journey. or its just my lack of understanding toward egyptians type of "courtesy". oh yes, and one thing i can remember is that everything goes in egypt "as it is". asking something out of it is simply "impossible". im not talking about difficult complicated things, but trying to be practical is some terms, we do have to think and act fast, which i never see in here. for example, ever heard that you cant have a friend to come to your hotel room?. i asked why, and they say its the law (what?). ive been to many countries and never experience such "impossible" to taken care of things.

Feedback on my story, Please read it!!!?
It's for my A level english lit coursework at college..I'm 16. Please read it and give some feedback and constructive criticism :) Maria spotted him earlier, when she began her twelve hour shift on security at Heathrow airport. She followed him with her eyes dreamily as he strolled past her through the terminal. She found him incredibly attractive and flushed with embarrassment when he caught her looking and flashed a crooked smile in her direction. Wearing a sharp suit and clutching a bulky briefcase he looked like he meant business. He wasn?t British and Maria knew this because she saw hundreds of passengers every day and was good at guessing nationalities. Eastern European was her guess, most probably Russian. However, she didn?t care where he was from, all that mattered to the ditzy twenty year old was she had grabbed the attention of a tall, dark and handsome young man. Sat in the terminal coffee shop on her dinner break she argued with her mother loudly over the phone. A couple of men on the next table shook their heads distastefully at her arrogance and continued to read their travel guides. Maria didn?t care about the attention she was drawing to herself. She was angry. Her mother was threatening to kick her out of the house if she didn?t pay her thirty pound weekly board. She was so absorbed in her conversation that she was totally oblivious that the handsome man she spotted earlier had taken a seat on her table next to her. In a fluster she dropped her phone and he caught it swiftly in his hands before it smashed to the ground. ?Oh, gosh. Thank you!? she exclaimed fluttering her eyelashes as he returned it to her. ?No problem? he winked at her and for a moment she was lost in his gaze. His ice blue eyes looked beautiful yet dangerous, it didn?t scare her it just made her feel even more captivated. His sensuous accent was straight out of a Bond film. ?I hope you don?t mind me taking this seat?? He carried on quickly before the dumb struck girl could answer, he seemed like he was in a rush. ?I noticed you earlier, you work here on security. Am I right?? She smiled still struggling to find words. ?I was wondering, could you do me a little favour. You see, I have this package with me here. It?s a valuable family heirloom? He gestured towards the black leather briefcase he guarded protectively on his lap. ?It?s extremely important I get it back to my sick Grandmother in Moscow but I?m afraid it won?t get through security. I was wondering if you could somehow make this possible. I would be very grateful? ?I don?t think I could that. I mean I?m sure you?re an honest man but I couldn?t risk doing that, I could lose my job? ?I?d make it worth your while, how much do you want?? He looked around the room shiftily to make sure no one watching, the café was almost empty and he pulled out a cheque book from his jacket pocket. ?No I couldn?t possibly? Maria shook her head decisively then trailed off in to thought. She desperately needed the money but her conscience was screaming no. ?Like I said I would make it worth your while, does ten thousand sound good to you?? His eyes smouldered and she felt her morals melt away. Maria impulsively made her decision there and then that she would do it, not really thinking of the consequences. Ten thousand pounds. What a difference that would make to her life. Get her mother off her back, pay off her credit card bill and maybe even buy those shoes? It was simple really all she had to do was distract her colleague as the briefcase was passed through the scanner, and the handsome stranger would walk away without looking back leaving her ten grand richer. What harm could it do? Driving home on the M25 the traffic was at standstill. She tuned in to the radio trying to find a traffic report. The sound of panic in the news reader?s voice sent a chill down her spine. ?Breaking news. Reports are coming in of a Russian aircraft exploding shortly after take off from Heathrow devastating the centre of London. Hundreds of fatalities expected? She pressed her head on the steering wheel not wanting to believe any more of what she was hearing. Was it possible that briefcase contained a bomb? Was the cheque in her pocket now a life sentence?
