What should I do? (Married Christian Women)?
4 years ago, I had twin girls out of wedlock. I was not a Christian, when I became pregnant, but I was a Christian when I gave birth to them. I was dating their bio father for a year, when I got pregnant with my daughters. I was a virgin when I had met him. We were intimate just one time. He used condoms, and I was on birth control pills. But I still became pregnant. Their bio father did NOT want anything to do with me or my daughters. I begged him to reconsider his decisions. He chose to be completely horrible to me for months on end. What I did not know was he was already married, to an extremely nice lady. And they had a grown son. A DNA test established that he was the bio father. In the end he willingly signed away his parental rights.Their bio father does not pay child support, nor does he have visitation rights. I made the decision that it was best for my girls to NOT know their bio father, until they are of age. Both of my daughters look NOTHING like their bio father. But I have kept all of the court records, and communication between me and their bio father, if they ever have any questions. I have taken full responsbility for my actions. I was 4 months pregnant with my daughters, I moved back to my hometown. My best friend from high school was attending a very charismatic Southern Baptist Church. I fell in love with the Lord the first time I had attended services. I felt instantly transformed. I gave up all of my 'worldly' ways and I have lived a clean life since that time. My best friend from high school is a man named Mike (yes its his real name). We've had been really good friends since we were 15 & 16. There has always been a part of my heart that this special man has occupied. We had always stayed in contact either by phone, email, letters or we would see each other every 2-3 years. I thought our relationship was platonic. Six months after I gave birth to my girls, I realized that that I had been in love with Mike for years. What I didn't know was that he felt the same way about me. It took him telling me, "I'm the best thing that will ever happen to you." And he was 100% correct! Mike is a true gentleman. He asked my daddy if he could take me out on a date. After a one year courtship, Mike asked both of my parents to marry me. We were married in a beautifully decorated gazebo, with just our immediate family and a few friends. We honeymooned in Cabo San Lucas. This is where I conceived our son oldest son, who is now 18 months old. I just gave birth to our youngest son 12 weeks ago. If you're wondering if I'm done, the answer is YES! About 4 weeks ago, I received a message in my email from the wife of the bio father. She has filed for divorce from her husband. Apparently she found out that he had been cheated on her with me and other women. She has asked me to come forward and testify in court on her behalf. I showed my husband the email, and he was really upset. She also stated that he was trying to make the court believe that she is fabricating all of his extramarital affairs. There is a LOT of money at stake, and she is just trying to get her fair share. There was a pre-nuptial agreement, and it states that IF either party has an extra-marital affair the document is null and void. I know that the right thing to do would be to come forward, but I want to protect my daughters' interests as well. My husband said that the decision is mine. I've contacted a lawyer, and I've been advised that I could be subpeonaed. This is not something that I'm wanting to do. I'm happy, married, and my daughters don't need to be exposed to my past. I'm willing to provide all of my evidence, documentation, but I am NOT willing to appear in court. I'm torn as to what I should do. What would you do if you were in my shoes?
